Academic Integrity Policy
Helpal is designed for learning support. We do not allow the platform to be used for cheating, impersonation, or submitting work that is not the student's own.
Allowed uses
- Feedback on a draft you wrote (structure, clarity, logic, grammar).
- Explanations of concepts, worked examples, and revision guidance.
- Annotated comments that help you improve your own writing.
- Proofreading, formatting guidance, and referencing tips (not fabricated sources).
Not allowed
- Writing an assignment for submission as the student's own work.
- Taking an exam, quiz, or timed assessment on behalf of the student.
- Providing "ready-to-submit" answers intended to bypass academic integrity rules.
- Forging evidence, references, data, results, certificates, or identity documents.
Student posting acknowledgement
When a student posts a request or continues from an analysed preview, Helpal asks the student to confirm that the request is for tutoring, feedback, or guided academic help and that the student will prepare and submit their own final work.
- The acknowledgement applies before a new academic request is created.
- It applies whether the student continues with email signup or social signup.
- It does not permit a student to ask an expert to complete assessed work on the student's behalf.
How we enforce this
- We require integrity confirmations when a request is posted and at later review or approval steps.
- We log actions for auditing, moderation, and dispute handling.
- We may suspend accounts, cancel transactions, or refuse service when misuse is suspected.
Your responsibility
Students must follow their institution's academic integrity rules. Experts must provide learning support, not impersonation. If you are unsure, do not proceed and contact support.
