Help that shows its working.
Learn with an expert who steps back as you get stronger, or have authorised data analysed with every step written down. Either way, you can see how it was done and check it.
Experts teach and analyse here too. How experts join
Work through a new problem in your subject and explain each step
- Needs modelling
- With prompts
- Independent
- New context
- Session 1Needs modelling
Worked through one example together, step by step.
- Session 3Succeeded with prompts
Solved a similar problem; needed one hint on where to start.
- Session 5Independent on a comparable task
Solved a new problem and explained the reasoning without help.
Guided support
Each session hands a little more back to you.
Bring the thing you are stuck on: a concept, a method, a draft of your own. Your expert shows how, then prompts, then watches you try a fresh example. You both record how far you got, and you can disagree with that record.
- A plan with one clear goal and agreed limits
- Your own attempts, with feedback on each
- A record of what you can now do without help
Data analysis
Analysis you can rerun, not just read.
Send authorised, de-identified data and the questions it needs to answer. A vetted analyst agrees the scope with you and does the work. A second, independent reviewer checks it before it reaches you.
You get the results with the working files, the methods and the limits, so anyone you share it with can follow how each figure was made.
Customer survey: three questions, four outputs
- Scope agreed
Questions, outputs and exclusions written down before work starts
- Permission to use the data confirmed
De-identified, and authorised for this analysis
- Reproduced from the raw file
The named outputs come out the same when rerun
- Independent review
Scope, methods and limitations checked by someone else
- Your decision
Accept it, or return it for an in-scope correction
Know a subject well? Teach it, or analyse with it.
Guide learners
Your record of each session sits next to the learner’s own view. If they contest it, staff look at the evidence from both of you before anything changes.
Deliver data work
Get approved one service at a time by completing a short practical task on a synthetic dataset. Staff review it before you are offered paid analysis or review work.
How a request runs
Start with your question
Say what you want to learn or what the data needs to answer. Everyday language is fine.
Agree the work
Review the scope, limits, price and timing. Assistance has to be allowed by your institution; ticking a box does not change that.
Look at the evidence
Check your attempts, or the analysis package. Learning, delivery and payment are separate decisions.
Decide what happens next
Keep your record, ask for an in-scope correction, or ask staff to look at a concern. Time spent is never treated as proof of progress.
What Helpal will not do
- No ghostwriting. Nobody writes work for you to submit as your own.
- No invented findings. Every figure traces back to your data and a recorded method.
- No promised grades. A session is not a qualification, and we will not pretend it is.
Check your institution’s rules and say where you had help when they ask you to.
